In summer 2012, dbnAudile were contracted by market-leading experiential agency RPM to provide production for the European leg of the ‘Reebok CrossFit Games’, and the subsequent ‘Transatlantic Throwdown’. The Games toured Birmingham, Madrid, Paris, Rome, Athens, Berlin, Moscow, Stockholm and Krakow, before bringing the European winners to meet the best of the US in London.

Graphics were a key part of the production, with a large-format LED screen displaying athlete profiles, live scoreboards and VT content in addition to live camera feeds. dbnAudile provided Apple Macs and a Barco vision mixer to feed the big screen, together with the network infrastructure necessary for live feeds from the scoring computers.

dbnAudile also supplied a d&b V-series sound system, together with wireless headset microphones and in-ear monitors for the commentators. dbnAudile’s multi-skilled engineer operated both vision and audio mixers, in addition to cueing athlete profiles and scoreboards in Powerpoint and VTs in Playback Pro.

Site working light and power distribution, together with a two-way radio comms package, completed the package supplied. Extensive pre-production work was also carried out, including liaison with overseas authorities to license radio frequency usage, and preparation of carnet documentation for the Moscow leg of the tour.
